Innovation and Safety for Veterinary Oral Surgery By Dr. Francesco Paesano

The Minimally Invasive Dental Extraction Kit offers an advanced and safe approach to oral surgery in dogs and cats, optimising precision and reducing the risks associated with traditional techniques. Using piezoelectric surgery, this kit provides an effective solution even for the most complex cases.

Minimally Invasive Dental Extraction Kit for Dogs and Cats

Surgical Protocols:

  • Small dogs and cats:
The ES009NT insert enables extractions without alveolotomy, minimising surgical trauma. After sectioning multirooted teeth and lifting the mucogingival flap, precise vertical osteotomies are performed, followed by mobilisation with the conical ES052XGT insert.
For teeth with limited mobility, manual luxators are recommended before using extraction forceps.
  • Medium and large dogs:
Vertical syndesmotomy with ES009NT, after partial alveolotomy, facilitates and speeds up extractions. Post-extraction alveoloplasty with ES010T smoothens bone irregularities, preventing iatrogenic damage to surrounding structures.
  • Complicated fractures of maxillary canines in cats:
Piezoelectric surgery enables extractions without extensive alveolotomy, preventing “lip trapping” and maintaining the physiological position of the upper lip.
  • Complex extractions:
Ideal for cats with retained roots, resorption lesions, or dento-alveolar ankylosis. The ability to separate tissues of different densities reduces surgical times and improves clinical outcomes.

Kit Benefits:

  1. Maximum precision: Piezoelectric surgery offers superior control during interventions.
  2. Reduced surgical trauma: Minimises damage to soft tissues and nerves.
  3. Improved post-operative healing: Less pain, reduced exudate, and shorter recovery times.
  4. Versatility: Suitable for both simple and complex procedures in dogs and cats of all sizes.
